Open Atrium for your Intranet or Project
I just found Open Atrium (still in beta) which is an install of Drupal which specializes in intranets and collaborative work. From what I have seen it is very cool! It provides a lot of the needed functionality ready out-of-the-box: Public and Private forms of the following Groups BLogs, Micro-BLogging, Calendars, and Project Tracking…. but the real power will come from the fact that it is built with extensibility in mind. They are going to be setting up feature servers so people can share their Open Atrium features. You can also integrate Wiki’s and Forums, and I have seen a feature specializing in CRM (Simple CRM) and one for Project Management (Storm). There is so much more out there. Search for the feature that solves your intranet or collaborative ills.
