Introduction A fellow progressive friend of mine recommended that I read The Spirit Level: Why Greater Equality Makes Societies Stronger by Richard Wilkinson, Kate Picket because it dealt with inequality and how it explains most of our societal problems which sounded very interesting. After tearing through it over the last day or so I just […]Continue Reading
There is wonderful video titled A Message From the Future with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez which does a great job of broadly encapsulating my over arching political vision. She gets so much right it is scary! Please take the time to watch and to carefully consider it:Continue Reading

I am going to introduce you to an interesting idea proposed by Kardashev called the Kardashev Scale. Here is a quote from science fiction and fantasy writer Veronica Sicoe which has a great introduction to this concept:
In 1964, Russian astrophysicist Nikolai Kardashev figured that civilizations can be categorized by the total amount of energy available to them. He defined three levels of civilizations based on their capacity to harness and use power. These have since been expanded by another four (in light of the increasingly wild speculations spawned by marrying mathematics and theoretical physics).
The Kardashev Scale, as it is called, now lists 7 levels of civilizations based on their power consumption, and implicitly on their technological advancement and extension.
Pursuant to a Facebook conversation I popped into, I am writing this post to help to answer some questions asked about a Resource Based Economy (RBE). In several of my more technical posts that talk about politics, religion, economics, etc I talk about Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs (MHoN) and about Biopsychosocial (BPS) issues so I would like to take a moment to create a post on this to collect throughts, images, and links on these important topics so I can refer people to it and so they can learn about this which can greatly increase people’s understanding of many parts of our human experience as well as how our world works. And, honestly, I though I already had a post on this, soooo…Continue Reading
This is something I have posted and then deleted, much like my page The 7 Philosophical Pillars for Peace within Humanity. As with the previous document, I find myself driven to post this again so that I have it here so I can reference and work on it, and so that others can benefit from […]Continue Reading
I am writing this post to help people understand:
* why there is so much confusion and such a strong aversion to the word Socialism today
* why it is very, very misplaced
* how we need to reframe the socialism conversation.
Part of these problems are due to:
* our massively broken education system
* over a hundred years of governmental propaganda and continuously stoked fears
There are technical definitions and then there is the more colloquial usage. I will cover both in this article just for completeness and to help relieve some of the confusion.Continue Reading

This post will discuss my set of Continuum of Capitalism infographics which were added to my post: The Cancer of Capitalism and Its Antidote. I want to explain this idea more because, in that post, I just post these two graphics and do not explain it or do I explain my ideas on economic systems at all. Keep in mind, that this post is speaking in very simplified and very broad and sweeping terms.Â
If you have NOT read my Cancer of Capitalism post from above, then please go read it NOW!!Continue Reading

In reading, researching, and writing about a Resourced Based Economy (RBE) over the last year my complete view of the how the world is and how it could be has radically changed. This post will cover how businesses and entire industries could be transformed while attempting to make the world a better place by attempting to fix unbridled capitalism towards a more ethical model for businesses.
The end result for manufacturing, businesses, and research is beyond what we would define as businesses or even government, because it transcends these, and eventually requires the end of capitalism and its horrors, so thinking of business in a way that is outside how capitalism defines it can be a difficult feat. If you have not read my previous posts on Resource Based Economies and watched those documentaries then you may want to do that, so that you have the background to understand what I am talking about. Here are links to those posts:Continue Reading
